View The Full Version : Alfa Romeo 1.9mjet 16v 156 150 hp and 147 140cv
Hello guys, I ask for your help/opinion on an issue affecting two of my friends.
These are two alfa romeo, 156 150 hp and 147 140cv.
Both, in different times, of course, started to go into recovery while ? at full load with the following error in the ecu:
P0238 - pressure Sensor turbocharger
These are two cars that are fully original. The 147 has not yet seen the mechanic, while the 156 has done inside and out for a p? without success. They changed the sensors and other things (I don't have the detail?) without a result.
It never happened to you a similar problem?
I thought the same sensor that can be gone, or the wastegate not opening correctly...

I had the same problem on a 159 120 ps 8v disassembled to clean the sensor, everything is ok.
It is located on the intake manifold
Perfect.

be careful when you clean, and very delicate, I did it with a brush with soft bristles and a drizzle of compressed air.

I also the mass air flow sensor clean it with contact cleaner spray.
For the sensor I believe is the same, but there a p? of svitol not to? wrong according to me...
the sensor turbocharger ? less fragile... I clean my sensor of my brera with the isopropyl alcohol, was but was is even encrusted and ? came out very well

The svitol is used to restore cigoli and in all those situations where you need a bit of lubrication. This means that a bit of flap lubricant would remain on the sensor, what is not so beautiful... serving the products they clean up well and then evaporino immediately.

Sensors clean with contact cleaner to dry... I also had a spray for the cleaning of the throttle bodies, which absorbs grease and leaves no residue. This I have used it often on debimetri with excellent results.
However, I have not had time to test the 147 to duty, as we see in these days if the problem persists :) :) You upgrade!

I would check the tube of the turbine at the intercooler, and intercooler intake...I think there's going to be some nick!! often on the original tubes,they don't last at all!! I am appalled to change them often!! and now I mount stainless steel :) all the other world!! however, when there are some release of pressure from this error also in memory pressure(over-power)

I sensors pressure turbocharger I clean with trichloroethylene, do not ruin anything, it cleans really well and leaves no residue, and you can? safely use on cards, printed circuits, and what useful you can? be sure to spray with the gun to the diluent
also on my 147 1.9 jtdm 120 hp I had a similar problem and after replacing the mass air flow sensor and the sensor turbocharger with no results, and I solved it by replacing the solenoid valve of adjustment of the variable geometry (rule the depression of the polmoncino of the turbine), I discovered for the case when unplugging the connector of the valve was giving me the same defect and riattaccandolo disappeared, so I made 1+1 (I did see a pompista and had recommended me to replace the turbine :P , but not kidding)

This valve, you say, where ? located? Close to the turbo?
This ? the month of the dead... You ? addition well as an Ibiza with a different problem... Mah!

why? there have been several mod on quie sensors.
For now, just cleaned the sensors on the 156...
for the valve you have to follow the tube that leads to the depression of the actuator of the turbine
parts from the turbine and do the reverse route, I forgot to specify it :rolleyes:

Hi guys, I always clean mass air flow sensor and the sensor with gasoline rettifiacata, the one that they sell in the pharmacy, and I've always had great results!!!
