I would like to know from the experts that work already? in the field, if the sw that are usually to analyze and modify the mappings ? typically always the same (chosen, for example, why? comfortable, functional, highly decodificante, etc), or are more? one, why? maybe some sw work better on the ecu of certain vehicles, other sw better on the ecu of the other.

At this point, I ask, by the tread of fcp84 for the 500 abarth, such as sw would you recommend to start with - in such a way that beginners can start their "studies", starting immediately with a valuable tool, even if it is complex.

well, I think that the sw used + or - with all the potential functions are the same for everybody and they are:

winols (surely among the most complex and' only in English or German, but it seems to be the more professional)
ecm 2001 (it would be the old sw alientech is still used today for those who are not provided with titanium the only neo drivers not updated to the new vehicles)
titanium (it would be the new sw alientech definitely a good compromise and very functional also for the automatic search of the driver, something that was not happening with the old ecm besides, this is much more up to date.)
map 3d (great sw creates a setting file automatically based on the type of the ecu and is not hard to use)
all these sw you need to know how to use them, otherwise you lose days and days, but these are most of the professionals use to edit maps.

I recommend winols even if at the beginning it is a little difficult, however, to learn how to map without the use of drivers and the only way to make decent work in most avoid to use driver with the"internal errors

Not ? of immediate use, but in view of the completeness of the Damos around in my opinion ? the best. To change the maps use ECM but the drivers are pitiful.
The last machine that I made ? was a 530d recreating the driver based on the information taken from winols.

the damos files decryption and reporting maps on the sw mapping winols are like "compasses" that allow you to navigate through the "jungle maps" present in an ecu practically then they tell you every secret of the ecu are created....

I the damos I found around,but to be honest with winols ? a little too cumbersome,the ecm in all versions ? intuitive and fast.

yes, but most of the times does not allow you to understand what you're doing,if you look around in the various discussions you will understand the why of this statement,which,according to me,? very serious for an editor to edit the file....
all ..es many times in the maps in 2d in the table reports the actual values of the map itself...***** you f? a moddare a map cos???fast and intuitive???
